What We Do

Cosmic Owl Care emerged from a love of spending time outdoors;  amongst the flowers, trees, and water, and caring for community. What came to fruition was a beautiful collaboration between the land, plants, animals, and families in Minnesota.

Danielle of Cosmic Owl Care enjoys guiding children and families through experiences where they can explore the wonders of nature. Cosmic Owl Care provides custom nature-based experiences for your personal needs for both 1:1 and small groups of children.

Cosmic Owl Care is currently looking for a family to start nannying part-time Summer 2025. Please send an email to cosmicowlcare@gmail.com to inquire.

Alongside early childhood environmental education, Danielle crafts herbal treasures and remedies to support our bodies through the seasonal changes and circadian rhythms. Her seasonally released products are bio regional, small-batch, and intentionally created.

Products are created seasonally, in small-batches and when inspiration hits. Look for established products such as Pregnancy or Postpartum Care Kits.

Resourced plants come from Rhubarb Botanicals (IA), Living Hearth Farm (WI) and Monarda Thrasher (WI).

Childcare Ethics

Cosmic Owl Childcare follows a Regio Emilia approach, focusing on the whole child. We support inquiry-based and child-led philosophies and highlighting  the environment as the third teacher. We honor children for who they are; curious, inquiring, and growing.

Cosmic Owl Care supports children in their play through an environmental lens. Children are encouraged to play, move their bodies, and find connection to the natural world.

Community Care

Cosmic Owl Care is a strong advocate for community care and collaboration. They approach their herbalism practice with a folk lens and as an outlet to serve community through plants and remedies available to anyone. Medicinal plant knowledge and connection to the land is for the people and deserves to be accessible to all. Cosmic Owl Care approaches each person served through non-judgmental and person-centered practices.
